Salinger (2013)

Director: Shane Salerno
USA, English

Yikes, I did it again. Sorry all!

This film is a documentary of the famous author J.D. Salinger, the author of The Catcher in the Rye. If you haven’t read this book…what’s wrong with you! The documentary is filled with interviews of people who have loved his work or has known him.

We learn more about the late author. He was a very private man and it was great to learn a little bit more about the man behind such great works. His personal life was definitely interesting to say the least. There was possible more books out there that haven’t been released!

I really wish I could say so much more about the film, but it was just a timeline of Salinger’s life. Not to say it wasn’t a great film. But it is a biographic documentary that went into a lot of detail about his life, which I really could skip over some. Still worth watching!

My Rating: 7/10
